HUGE e.l.f. Haul and First Impressions

This is an accumulation of two eyeslipsface.com orders and I thought I’d just lump them into one.

Mineral Brushes-Got these 6 mineral brushes for free thanks to a coupon code. At first glance are all so very soft! And I love that they are 100% eco-friendly.  I will do a full review on all of them in the future after using them all.

--All-Over Eyeshadow Brush
--Blending Eye Brush
--Complexion BrushI think I will use this one more for blush because that is exactly how big I prefer my blush brushes to be
--Flat Eyeliner Brush
--Powder Brush
--Smudge Brush-at first glance this looks a lot like the $1 concealer brush I own from the E.L.F. essentials line.
Custom Eyes Dusk-Shimmery/Glittery Navy Gray
Custom Eyes Navy-to be honest I don’t see a huge difference between this one and dusk. I thought that dusk would be more of a black and it looks just as navy as this one does just more shimmery
Custom Eyes Sage-not the green I was hoping it would be. It’s not as vibrant as it looks online.
Smudge Brush- from the $1 essentials line. Absolutely love! I use smudge brushes regularly, I doubt this one will be any different.
Clarifying Pressed Powder Spice-The concealer in this color is the perfect tint for me but this powder is a little too red. I don’t think I will be using it much
Clarifying Pressed Powder Light beige- got this one to set under eye concealer and for a highlight. It’s not too dark and gives me nice definition
Tone Correcting Concealer Spice (medium)-Perfect color. It did dry quickly on my hand though. The consistency is more of a liquid than a cream and I would say has medium coverage.
Lip Stain Nude Nectar- I hate this, It doesn’t come out of the applicator very easily, doesn’t apply evenly and makes my lips look like they have been chapped and I peeled them recently. Not an attractive red
Stipple Brush-not the most dense stipple duo fiber brush I’ve ever had but it’s very soft!

Translucent Matifying Powder -Packaging is similar to the bronzing/blush palette. The box is misleading, there is a white area next to the powder that on the box looks like a white powder but it is a sponge. I saw a review on this that said it works best if you press and roll the powder in with the sponge. I’ll try this and see if it works
Makeup Lock & Seal-I have done a full review on this product already. Here’s where to find it by clicking on the picture.
Eye Encyclopedia Collection-I’ve done a review on this as well. Read it here
11-Piece Studio Brush Set- I luckily got these for just $3 originally $30 due to another coupon code! If you aren’t signed up for their email updates I really suggest doing so sometimes you can get an amazing deal like this one!
--Sleek, Water-Resistant Case- Love the case! It is quite plain but the brushes fit in very snugly unlike some other brush rolls and makeup bags for brushes that I own.  Each brush feels very soft! I can’t wait to try them out!
--Eyeshadow "C" Brush
--Complexion Brush
--Small Angled Brush
--Small Smudge Brush-also reminds me of the $1 concealer brush…wondering if it’s worth the extra $2
--Fan Brush
--Powder Brush-I think this one will be my favorite out of the bunch! I love flat top brushes they are so versatile
--Angled Foundation Brush
--Concealer Brush
--Small Precision Brush
--Blush Brush
--Contouring Brush
Elf Studio Blush Candid Coral- beautiful color!!! It looks like it will be perfect with my skin tone to create a nice natural look that’s not too pink. I think coral blushes look good on everyone!
Daily Brush Cleaner- Smell of the box is very strong! Enough to give you a headache and the cleaner smells even worse! I hope it works well. The smell is you very similar to the Tall pink liquid lotion that comes with the Clinique acne trio! It just smells worse.
Studio Mineral Powder Brush- so dense! I can’t wait to try it and do a full review. I can see this working great with liquid foundation!
E.L.F. Studio 32-Piece Eye shadow Palette Warm- from spring collection the colors look very beautiful. I did quickly swatch a couple on my hand and they are very pigmented and so spring! Cons, the applicator is small and slides around at the bottom. The slot is big enough for a brush but when I put the professional eyeshadow brush in it the space is too thin and the palette won’t close.  Also these eye shadows have more of that “makeup” smell that cosmetics used to have years ago! It’s not too bad but it is noticeable. AND it is almost impossible to get the palette open! I almost broke a nail trying to pry it open.
E.L.F. Essential 5-Piece Get the Look Eye Set Brown- so glad I got this! I didn’t even read it carefully on the website. It comes with a great liquid liner, which I’ve heard on youtube that it smells bad but it doesn’t smell bad at all. It also comes with the elf professional eyeshadow brush which is one of my favorites so I’m so glad that I get another one! And the three shadows that come with it look very pretty at first glance.
High Definition Powder- powder is VERY fine. I’m glad I only poked a few of the holes from the sifter out. I don’t think I will be using the puff that comes with it. It seems like it will be very hard to control with the puff
E.L.F. Makeup Mist and Set-I heard this was supposed to work like the MAC Fix + I don’t own this one but thought I’d go ahead and try this for $6.  It doesn’t have a bad smell at all. The spray part of the bottle doesn’t seem like it will spray a “mist” more than a “spray.”  I sprayed it on my hand and it seemed pretty direct. I fear it will wet the face too much if sprayed directly on it.
Super Glossy Lip Shine-I’ve already said in the makeup for beginners post that this is a great lip gloss. So I got another one in Goddess.
Cream Eyeshadow Natural Glow-This comes with a little tiny flat tapered brush. I was hoping that this one will be as good as the paint pots from MAC or the new Maybeline cream eyeshadows. It looks pretty in the pot.
$1 Eyelid Primer-had to get another one of these. Love it so much!
