Recently e.l.f. had a sale that was 50% off their entire website so I decided to get a few things that I haven't tried yet, new shades, and an old favorite. Here are some swatches and first impressions.
I have tried some of the essential line shadows and have liked the ones I've gotten in the past so I thought I would get some more. I also thought I would try some of the shadows from the studio line. The two on top are Raspberry Truffle and Pebble. The bottom row from left to right are Pink Ice, Truly Pink, Wisteria, Taupe, Purple, and Dusk.
While they are all extremely pigmented and worth purchasing, I would definitely say search for swatches before making a purchase because sooooo many of these look so different online than they do in person. For example Pink Ice is pretty cream, no pink hue at all, and Wisteria also looked more pink online and is lilac in person.
I have the original blush and bronze duo and love it so though I would definitely try out one of their new shades Antigua. I also got one of their new baked bronzers in Los Cabos.
From left to right its the blush then the bronzer from the duo. Next to those is the baked bronzer Los Cabos. I absolutely love all three! I use the baked bronzer as a subtle highlight. I am very tan so this way works for me. If you are fair skinned this very well could be a pretty bronzer with a slight sheen. The duo is mostly matte. The blush has some glitter specks in it but it isn't too noticeable unless their is flash.
New additions to my lippies that I love! The studio lip stain in birthday suit and essential jumbo lipgloss stick.
These are very pretty! The stain can be a bit drying if you apply the color before the gloss but I find if you apply the gloss first it is much more moisturizing, but then you lose some of the staying power. The lipgloss stick if very nice. It has a subtle pigmentation but is nice and moisturizing like a balm but not too shiny or sticky like a lipgloss.
The last three items that aren't photographed are the studio flawless finish foundation in caramel and the studio mineral power brush. The foundation is a little pink for my skin, it looked like it had a much more yellow undertone online. The e.l.f. high definition powder in corrective yellow is very nice. It is very fine milled and does have a slight yellow tint on the skin. The brush is a repurchase of mine because I love it so much for foundation and contouring. I have hauled it in a previous blog post.
