Urban Decay Basics 2

I have owned the first Naked Basics since it's debut and have been using almost every time I've worn makeup since! I absolutely love the formula of the original palette and have to say that I love the second one just as much!!!
The shadows of the Basics 2 are so soft and blend exceptionally well! It is much more cool/taupe toned compared to the first one which makes it even more of a must have for me!

There is a plus though! The first basics palette has a weird smell to it.  I'm not sure which of the shadows are the source but it makes the whole palette have a weird sourish smell (The Naked 3 that came out around the same time has the same smell, so maybe its a new formulation of some of the shadows).  The plus is the Basics 2 does not have this weird smell! I was so pleased!

I definitely think that this is worth having in your collection! This, as well as the first Basics, are the perfect addition to this all shimmery/glittery palettes that so many brands come out with.  They work great as transition shades or that perfect crease shade to tone down a shimmery look.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Dupes!

Some of these are from the drugstore and some are high end, well middle end.  Middle end meaning price range of Urban Decay, Too Faced, and Smashbox.  Where I consider high end to be brands like Chanel, YSL, and Marc Jacobs.

Limit, Temptress
Limit.
E.L.F. (Naturale Beauty is made by the same company and have the same products) Mineral Eyeshadow in Temptress.  These two are not exactly the same with flash but on the lid I cannot tell a difference

Mugshot, BR shadow, Pewter
Mugshot.
The left eyelid shade from the Black Radiance Downtown Browns palette is very similar as well as the shade Pewter from the Lorac Pro Palette.

Nooner, Innocent
Nooner, Mauve
Nooner.
The shade Innocent from Stila's Natural palette and the shade Mauve from the Lorca Pro palette

Strange, Pure
Strange.
The shade Pure from Stila's Natural palette

Factor, BR shadow
Factory.
The left crease shade from the Black Radiance Downtown Browns palette.

Blackheart, BR shadow

Blackheart, Maybeline shadow
Blackheart.
The right crease shade from the Black Radiance Downtown Browns is very similar. The only difference i would say is that the black undertone in the Black Radiance palette is darker than the Naked 3.  The darkest shade in the Maybeline Eyestudio quad in Taupe Temptress is almost identical to the Urban Decay one.

So, I think that if you really want the look of the Naked 3 without spending the money your best bet would be to get the Black Radiwnce Downtown Browns palette because it has the most dupes.  But the Lorac Pro has one of the main matte shades used in this palette as well as that beautiful Pewter shade that looks like Mugshot. This palette is also cheaper than the Urban Decay one while also giving you that higher end luxury feel.

Nails: Urban Decay Naked 3 Inspired

The Urban Decay Naked palettes are some of my absolute favorite palettes! Out of them all the Naked 3 is my absolute favorite! I was inspired by this palette to do something with a similar look and feel of rose gold and sparkles on my nails.  Luckily I already had some in my collections that would work great to create a similar look!
I have Oraly's Sand Dunes on all of my nails.  This polish reminds me of Dust from the Urban Decay palette because it is lighter with slight shimmer.
For my accent nail I used Salon Perfect's Glitzy Glam on both of my ring fingers.  This dolor reminds me a lot of Buzz or Liar from the Urban Decay palette. It is a darker shade with lots of glitter and sparkle just like those two shadows.
