e.l.f. Disney: Snow White Collection! The Fairest of Them All Beauty Book

Again! I am so excited that e.l.f. is doing and continuing this Disney collection! Snow White isn't my favorite princess by any means but I think that the shadows in the beauty book are very pretty!  Like the beauty book that came out with the Ariel collection when opened there is a mirror on the left side but this one is shaped like the mirror on the wall.
The book includes 7 shadows, 3 larger than the rest, an eye primer, standard black pencil liner, blush, blush brush, and lipgloss.

The eye primer in this book, in my opinion, does not feel like the one from their essential line that I love and adore! It feels more like the one from their mineral line, just a little more liquid feeling.  It does work well though. It is not as long wearing as the $1 one from the essential line but can definitely get you through an 8 hr day.
Snow White wears very minimal makeup but I think that e.l.f. did a great job incorporating shadows that will allow you to recreate her natural look with taupe tones.
The eyeliner is not my favorite.  It is a dryer formula which does work better for water and tightlining but I had to bare down harder than I would prefer to to get it to really show up true to color, which hasn't ideal for the delicate eye area.
I swatched the shadows on my hand in the order that they are in the palette.  Like most e.l.f. palettes all the shadows are shimmer. "I'm Wishing" is actually kind of chalky, which is disappointing, and is a sparkly white.  "Diamond Mine" is also a little chalky, not as much as the first one though.  It has a slight gold tint to it.  I love "Heigh Ho," it is a pink champagne color, my favorite color for an all over lid shade.  "Yodel" is the shade that I really think hit the mark for achieving Show's look.  It is a taupe shade that looks really similar to what she has on all over her lid.  "One Song" is a cherry brown.  "Enchanged Forrest" swatches to look more like a sea foam green than a forrest green. "My Prince" is a dark lavender.  I'm pretty happy with the majority of these, aside from the first 2, and really think they captured the essence of this princess.

I'm pretty impressed by the pigmentation of this blush. In my experience the e.l.f. blushes can be hit or miss with pigmentation.  The top photo is with flash and the bottom is without flash.  Swatched next to the blush is the lip gloss that comes with this palette.  It is a very pigmented cranberry red.  It has touches of glitter but not too much to where it is overwhelming.

Overall I am impressed with this.  I am a little disappointed that this only had 7 shadows compared to the 9 that were in the Ariel beauty book.  Also disappointed that it only came with a blush where the Ariel palette had a highlighter and a bronzer.  The Ariel palette also included an eyeshadow brush from their essential line and a lipgloss.  I like that the Snow White palette has a primer but could do without the liner.  I feel just a little cheated with this one since it was the same price $9.99 as the previous one.

Cant wait for the rest of the collection! Hopefully Pocahontas will be in here somewhere =D

Sonia Kashuk® Limited Edition 15pc Professional Brush Set UPDATE

I recently did a first impression review of the newest brush set from sonia Kashuk.  I've used them a lot since then, washed them twice and can now give a full review!

Overall, I absolutely love these brushes! They are so soft and feel absolutely luxurious!

I photographed all of the brushes separately on the previous post and after washing they haven't shed enough to look any different.

Shedding:  Most of the brushes didn't shed a single bristle after washing but there were a couple that were a little annoying. The duo fiber buffing brush was one of these.  I had little purple hairs all over my face.  I had to wash this one an extra time.  The blending brush shed more than the others as well.  I usually have issues with shedding with blending brushes though so that didn't upset me too much.

Function:  I haven't used the foundation brush much at all.  I just don't use this type of brush for foundation. I have also found the synthetic angled brush a little small to use for buffing in foundation.  It is definitely possible but it takes just as along as a duo fibered stippling brush does.

So overall I love love love these brushes!! I follow the Sonia Kashuk brand on instagram and saw that these are now again available on target.com and for store pickup! So hurry and get them before they are no longer available!
